ABOUT
OUR
 CHAPTER

It’s On Us RUN is a student run chapter of a national organization, dedicated to ending sexual violence and domestic/partner violence both on and off campus.  We believe it starts with us, within our campus community.

MISSION & HISTORY.

The goal  of this chapter is to get students of all identities (men, women, LGBTQ+, Greek life, athletes, people of color, etc.) engaged in the work of ending campus violence and invested in the notion that it’s on ALL of us to create a safer and more inclusive campus community.

It’s On Us was founded in September 2014 as an initiative of the Obama-Biden White House Administration. The program launched following recommendations from the White House Task Force to Prevent Sexual Assault that noted the importance of calling everyone into the conversation on sexual assault prevention. Over the last six years, It’s On Us has grown into the nation’s largest nonprofit program dedicated to college sexual assault prevention and survivor support activating students on hundreds of campuses in our awareness and education programs.

At It's On Us RUN, we’re passionate about creating a new generation of voices committed to ending sexual and partner violence, ensuring a safe environment for all students.

IMPACT.

It’s On Us is the only program of its kind to combine grassroots organizing with high-impact culture change campaigns through partnerships with media outlets, creative agencies, and influencers such as MTV, Comedy Central, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire. Through these partnerships, we reach millions of students with critical prevention and associated messaging.
